Communication Studies

this past friday i received some good news. i was accepted to my major. since then i've gotten congratulations and good jobs and what not, but in all honesty i was fully expecting it. last year only 10 people even applied to the program. its not exactly the most prestigious major, seeing as how most people dont even know what comp. studies is (with me being one of them. its something along the lines of social behavior relating to communications in society. yeah, didnt really make sense to me either but i'm going with it).

anyways, i should be starting this spring semester and will pound it out in a year. finally! the end is somewhat in sight for this journey called a college education. i've only been here 5 and a half yrs. already and will be at almost 7 by the time i graduate.

"a lot of people go to school for 8 yrs."
"yeah, they're called doctors."

i'll also be starting school 2nd block this semester so i can get my job back on campus. being unemployed for over 2 months, as good as it sounds, is quite lame.

"want to go out this weekend?"
"what do you have going for you?"
"well i'm unemployed, in debt, and not in school right now."
"wow, you sound like a winner!"

anyways, so things are starting to look up. i'll have a job, be in school, and have a major to start working on this spring. the women are bound to flock to me like the salmon of capistrano now!
