Goodbye My Looooove

well the day has come. the old faithful truck has seen its last day in the mccoy household. she was a great little thing. many of us have fond memories of pleasant drives thru the countryside. i'm not one of those people but hopefully some of you did that. i was too busy macking on chicks. thats right, i put that truck to good use. driving a truck makes you more a man and i took advantage of it. but alas, i digress. she was beginning to break down; this and that were starting to go out. it was simply time. she served us well, for those of us who knew her. from spencers wrecking her mere days before i was to take over her reigns, to dareks 17 tickets he received while driving her, to sharlas failed attempts to learn the stick-shift. am i the only one who truly recognized her for her greatness and took advantage? (that greatness being mud-holes and off-roading). was i the only one man enough to stand up to dads tongue lashings when he found out i got it all dirty while taking it on forbidden paths? perhaps. but from her 9 miles a gallon, to no air conditioning, to a mockery of a V-4 engine....... i decided it was time to deal her elsewhere. i must say i was shocked to see how callously family members treated her when i offered them the deal of lifetime. dad scoffed at the idea of taking her back. spencer tantalized me with pretended interest only to turn away in disgust. she was a great truck. one worthy of medals, honors, awards, and collective admiration. some lucky soul got all of this for the steal of a price of $2000. greatness for only 2 grand!
i shed a tear as i watched her role away from me into the hands of another man...

seriously, how could you just defame Sweet Cherry like that and just toss her to the curb like some cheap call girl!? She loved me the best, we shared many a tender moment driving the streets of Puyallup. leave it to one of the babies to throw away a piece of McCoy legacy, come on! and it was 18 speeding tickets by the way! Her 4 bangers would only perform for me. Oh and you're not the only that used her like a truck...did you ever take it up and down the stairs in the stake center parking lot? do doughnuts in the gravel lot at Rogers at midnight or in the Sparks Stadium grass parking lots after Friday football games? "mud holes" come on, don't embarass yourself. I'd respond to the "chick macking" but gentlemen don't kiss and tell. Can't believe she's really gone, it's like when we got rid of the low rider Luv machine...*sniffle*sniffle*

Oh this is a sad day indeed. I've only been a McCoy a mere 5 years but in that short time I too had come to have a love affair with the little red truck. She was always willing to drive me to Orting early in the mornings so I could run along that only paved sidewalk withing 10 miles of the house. She will me missed and dearly remembered for all her charm and beauty!
