last summer i had a dresser. it was nice. it fit my needs. but i come home one day to find my clothes sprawled out upon my bed. seemed suspicious at the time cause i didnt recall leaving my clothes laid out on my bed when i left earlier that morning. but alas, upon some investigation and detective work i soon find that the dresser said clothes were in was now gone! hmmm, deep thought required for this one. (cue light bulb above my head and a look of discovery on my face). someone must have taken the dresser and tossed my belongings on my place of sleep! it was nowhere to be found. as i asked around, with pen and paper in hand, it was discovered that my roommates heard some people come in earlier and left with some stuff. well then, putting two and two together, i realized that "stuff" must have included the dresser.
but fear not readers! i had resources in high places, including friends who didnt have room for their dressers. so they let me use theirs. but then they had to go and make babies and move to a bigger place, thus requiring the presence of their dressers in their own home. now, instead of being placed on a bed, or the normal placing place for clothes, they were relegated to the floor. a grown man and i have to put my clothes on the floor! what an economic recession we live in is right!!! now the economy was directly effecting me and i didnt like it. not one bit. homeless in my own house! so after a couple days (maybe it was weeks, i dont know), i was assisted in my efforts to find a place of residence for the fabric which is placed on my body. and thats when this wooden structure came into the picture.
to most people this type of furniture would house a television, some dvd's, perhaps a few pictures on top, and maybe some electronic equipment on bottom. but oh no, not to this guy. i'm much more inventive. as a single college male, you make due the best you can with what you have. an extra entertainment center we had in our house now has to double as my dresser. we've reached all-time lows in our nation..... whats next, using chairs as bookshelves?!?!
