this is the absolute worst time to be a sports fan in/from washington state. lets take a gander at what we have to work with:
1. Seattle Mariners
finished 61-101 this year, second worst in the majors
2. Seattle Seahawks
presently 2-5, no hope of turning it around this year
3. Washington State Cougars
presently 1-8, just got shutout 58-0
4. Washington Huskies
presently 0-8, just got shutout 56-0
*only winless team in college football
5. Seattle Sonics
finished 20-62 last year, second worst in the league
*dont freakin exist anymore!!!
need i say anything else? come on here people, this is a joke. who the heck do i cheer for? somebody, anybody. perhaps the Sounders? i dont know what else to do. i've never been ashamed to say i was from washington, but i dont have a leg to stand on when it comes to sports these days. at least there's nowhere to go but up from here. right? right......?

Sheesh, it's been a little while since I've checked the blog, muchos blogos to reados. Speak of spanish, we dropped in this mexican restaurant by our house last night that we've been meaning to try. go in and get seated (there's like 2 other couples in the whole empty place) food is reasonably priced, but we weren't real hungry so we decided to share the chicken enchiladas. Upon ordering the entree and no drinks, the old mexican man says "Senior, you must order more. Minimum 8 dollar." Amberli goes, "what're you talking about? we just wanna share 1 entree"
"Minimum 8 dollar per person, maybe order appetizer? We have Tamale for 3 dollar." What? I really don't understand what's going on now. You mean sir, that we need to spend a minimum of $8 per person for a total of $16, yet you say we can order 1 entrée for $8 and 1 appetizer for $3 for a grand total of $11 for the both of us? That's still not $16 my friend. "Yes, 1 entree and 1 appetizer"
It made no sense the whole deal! I said, whatever, throw in your tamale and just make our food. His place was clearly not doing well w/ no other business but I decided to not point this out. Que absurdo este hombre!
...and yes, it's been a very sad state of affairs for WA sports I def agree. how can the entire professional sports of WA State all suck at the same time! Every one of them has seen days of glory in the past yet they are the bottom of the barrel in each league.
Being from Washington I too feel your pain (though I'm a much bigger huskies fan than wazzu fan). Anyway, I've decided just to keep tabs on the Yakima Sun Kings B-Ball team, hopefully they come through.
And it would probably take matt more than a year to get that stache, definitely can't compare to yours!
