Devotional

this week Pres. Hinckley was the devotional speaker. i usually dont go to them to be honest, but whenever an apostle/prophet comes i'll attend. my roomate got their early and saved some seats so i was able to be closer to him than i ever have been. its so amazing to see the prophet in person. its almost as if we think of him as so far away and untouchable b/c we always see him for conference or what not, but rarely see him in person. its incredible the spirit he brings into the room. everyone gets quiet and stands up when he enters. he spoke on the 13th article of faith and it was great. i dont know as i'll ever get the chance to see him again, he was looking his age. thankfully he hasnt lost his sense of humor (he put a piece of paper over his face and squinted b/c the lights were shining right in his eyes - they later turned them down). definitely one of the perks of going to byu..... seeing the leaders of our church up close and personal!
